Heh, not really... But..

1. I went back and looked through the disc.server
board back in November, and October and the like..
*wipes tear from eye*.. Such nostalgia.. Back when
scrolling hadn't been put in the TK, Triuken hadn't impressed
us all with his mad coding skillz, Spyder hadn't yet the faintest
idea of what exactly cheese was.. *sniff*.. Here are some things
I noticed:

PEOPLE THAT ARE STILL HERE NOW:

-MJHill - Who posted with that nick more than his
real name then!
-MG - No Russian vodka and no extremely vocal opiniating..
Quite a boring fellow
-Lance - XTreme, not XTreme.. Heh, remember the XTreme
Software phony copyright message?
-Cyrus - Demo 0.1 and O.2!!! Amazing...
-TK - Still here I think.. And never finished patrolling
for whales...

PEOPLE WHO YOU PROBABLY REMEMBER, BUT ARE NO LONGER
HERE:

-Steve - Ug.. Let's not go here..
-Sclam - Such fond memories.. Too bad he left..
-dak - Well, he'd been here quite a while. Not as
long as me, but..err..long..
-Disruptor - Um, he used to post a lot.. What can I
say?
-Ulysses - I think, actually, this guy was around even
longer than I was.. Stunning.. Too bad he left,
he was quite knowledgable...

If it surprises you, the board was a lot more hostile back
then.. Isn't that strange? Personally I blame it on Steve... heh..
A couple points I noticed:

-- Lance actually stuck up for Joe(matrixstudios) when he was
spamming about his editor! Stunning.. I, for some diluded reason
only I might know, found this extremely funny..
-- Cyrus couldn't get #Zoom to work when it came out... Heh, this was
like a topic of conversation for weeks on end.. The topic that never
died! Mwahahahaa...

Funny, ain't it?

2. Ok, not to personally put any blame on Gaden, since it's a heck of
a lot better than his Drug Wars idea :), but I am personally sick of
stereo type "Good vs. Evil".. The alternative has became the mainstream,
and anyone that thinks they're being edgy and fresh by asking "What's good,
and what's evil?" ends up sounding cliched in my book.. Some common concepts:

1. Good always involves some kind of religion, cult group, or general dumb, blind
followers
2. Evil is always shunned by the good ones, who are made out to be goody goodys, but is
always just "misunderstood"
3. The huge, greatest evil is running the Good...
4. The hero is some dark rebel who is really pure at heart but not fanatical enough
to be good.. A sort of anti-hero...

It's been done, it's all wrong anyway, and none of you probably care.. So, ahem, just ignore
me now, and I'll go drink my vodka... ;)

Mike
