There is a new editor in the Toolkit. Status effects are launched by RPGCode commands, or you can attach a status effect to a special move. Ecah player/enemy can have up to 11 status effects applied to them at once.

Unlimited. Each effect can do the following:
Speed up target
Slow down target
Disable target
Remove/add hp
Remove/add smp
Run rpgcode program

If the effect does one of the above, then it does it at the start of the player's turn. Effects can last the enitre duration of a battle or for a set number of rounds. Obviously, the 'run rpgcode program' effect gives you the most freedom.
