Heckuva lot more organized then me..;) It sounds doable to me. The only thing is you'll have to sort of pick
carefully where you execute what in your programs. Like you say your EP will be recharged slowly during the battle;
if you're only using one loop (and not a bunch of multitasking ones stringed together, which could be really
slow) you'd have to know where to put the #player1EP! = player1EP! + 1 kind of thing, so it would stay balanced.
You see what I'm saying? :) I dunno what Triuken might say, but those are my humble
opinions...
