: Chris, I never would have imagined a year ago that I would be making a REAL RPG. : Until I discovered the RPG Toolkit I played RPGs and dabbled here and there trying ...futilly...to make something similar. : Sure, I had ideas... : Ideas are a dime a dozen though... : ...but when I was finally given the tools to allow my mind to create openly...the results...well are quite obvious. : I've said this before. : You are perhaps the most significant person I have ever met. : ...not just to me... : I am only 1 person. : You have given EVERYONE the ability to create that which we have all dreamed of. : ...to name the characters...the cities...the forests... : ...to design landscapes...houses...and even styles of clothing. : ...but you have also allowed us to do this in a way we never could before. : There are other RPG making programs. : VERGE springs to mind... : Most of these have advantages over the Toolkit in some fashion. : ...and yet I have stayed with this one. : Why? : The answer is simple. : You. : What good is a toolkit with noone updating it? : How does an advantage here or there compare to the possibility that an active programmer and devoted author might make those advantages obsolete? : ...but is this really why I have not left the Toolkit? : Chris. : I see a limitless horizon for you and this program. : There is little if anything that I think it can not do in the realm of RPG creation. : ...but your presence here has always comforted me...not just because you were fast to fix bugs or helpful in bad times... : ...but because I trust you. : I know you like I know any of my friends. : At least I feel that way. : I cant tell you how inspiring your opions and posts have been to me. : I really cant even begin to... : Deceit and Conquest and myself for that matter owe so much to you. : You have made this possible. : You... : : -Your friend : Cy
