I know you may have answered this in that other post, but I have a question. You said that you are re-programming Immerse in Java, so will it have GIF animation capabilities?

Something else you may find interesting, I found something on the internet a while back that I think immerse will be very similar to. It made first-person
adventure games and it used bmp's and jpg's as it's main graphics files. And it's music and sound effects
files were MIDI and WAV. The way it used GIF animations was really cool. You would select an area where an action would take place. Then, you would set the action to display a GIF animation. The GIF would be the same as the area it is in front of.
for example: You click on a door, it opens!
very cool.
