In Reply to: Why can't I download the Code Editor programs? posted by Metapod2000 on April 26, 2000 at 07:38:05:

I was trying to download the two code editor programs, but I got messages saying that page doesn't exist anymore. Were the programs discontinued, or moved to another site? And do I really need them to run RPGToolkit? Please let me know.

Chris' Xoom account crashed and he lost the files, if you go to the links section you can go to the home site of the Visual Editor (My favorite). I have the link on my site also. No you don't need them to run the Toolkit at all. They're seperate programs that people made to make programing a little easier. The .prg files are just text files with a different extension, as with most of the files for the Toolkit. The only problem with using the Visual Editor is that it wasn't updated past the original Version 2.0 of the Toolkit, so many commands arn't in it. It also has a few bugs that get really anoying. Personally I'd use the internal Toolkit editor or a word processor such as MS Word 97.

PS, you really should go to the new message board as no one posts on this one anymore.
