: Alrighty. I am looking into buying a computer for myself and I'm looking for ways to transfer files quickly and easilly. My dad doesn't want to buy another modem, or get another phone line, so the internet on that computer is not an option. I need a way to quickly transfer files from my comp, to the family comp which will have all of my website and FTP stuff. I am thinking of an Iomega Zip Drive. How much do those cost? Do they require any special ports?
: My freind says he connected two computers with Ethernet cards, but didn't say how. Is this an option?

Zip drives are good (as long as you get an extrnal, so you can hook it up to both comps).
They go for $200 Canadian, which is probably $150 US
Whatever you do-- DO NOT BUY A SPARQ DRIVE! It may seem oh, so tempting to buy a removable 1GB drive, but mine broke within the first year of the purchase. Stick with iomega and Zip. They know what they're doing.
