Y'know, i HAVE started working on some new projects, lately. First priority is my game, which is currently entitled "The Awakening". I do not want to give too much of it away, but i'll try and give you a general idea...
Though I have experimented with many, many different battle types, i will mainly stick with the traditional FF3(6) Battling scenario. But Characters and Enemies will be a much larger, anime style, like that of "Thousand Arms". I'll explain a little bit of this first - the major stats are ATT, RES, SPD, AGI, HP, SP, WILL, HIT, LUK, MNA, MNARES, and some others, i forget.. ;)

ATT - Basic Attack Power, used as the bulk parameter in Damage equation;
RES - Basic Defense Power, base Defense Parameter in Enemies Damage equation;
SPD - Speed, Determines attack order;
AGI - Agility, Increases chance of dodging pysical attacks;
HP - Uhmm.. duh.. =)
SP - Skill Points, duplicate to MP, SMP, etc.
WILL - Willpower, decent effect on both physical and magical attacks. Also helps reduces chance of dying, boosting you to 1HP..
HIT - Hit, goes into damage equation;
LUK - Luck, effects ALL parameters, incuding that of "story mode".
MNA - Mana Power, Magic Strength..
MNARES - Mana Resistence, Magic Defense!

I will be using a FFT type stradegy battle system for major war-type battles.. not many, but very long and engrossing..
Also, a few rare real-time battles, like that of SoM.. =)
35 Characters (...maybe more, hint hint ;) ... )
Each can use certain types of weapon, 50 types (sword, bow, etc.)..
Character equips two weapons, one for short-range combat, one for long-range.
- Some weapons are both usable as S-Range and L-Range; these are rare and powerful.
- Shields count as weapons, and can be placed in either the S-Range or L-range slots.
- L-Range weapons are almost ALWAYS limited, ie. number of arrows..
There are 8 moves for each character, for each weapon type they specialize in. Characters usually have 8-usable types, so thats 64 moves for each character. 35 characters, thats... 2240 moves?!?! Dont get the wrong idea, there will be a fair share of duplicate moves, so 5 characters may have "tornado blade".... heheh.. and also throw in MGSpells, such as "Firebolt"..

- Music Editor - simple music generator.. cant save this kinda stuff with ROGCode, so its pretty much useless...
- Tile/Board Editor - You got it! Cant save, but still pretty cool.. =)
- Special Move Editor (something new im working on =)... )
- Art Studio - little program i worked up a while ago (thank god i backed this one up.. =\).. many little "filters", which work nicely.. cant save, but theres always "Prnt Scrn".. ;)
- Lots of little customizing (read my old message on one of the old boards for more info)

- Tools, like that of Wild Arms
- Lots of other stuff.. im tired.. lol
Okay, i was planning on writing a lot more, but i have headache now.. lol
Something i've thought about for a while... i got the thought, now i gotta do the code.. i'll launch it sooner or later, dont worry.. =)

A tile conversion Project... i will be changing all those boring 256 color tiles out there (RM95 etc.) to 16 million, smoother ones.. like that of Suikoden 2.. i hate to link to a dead site, but go -H=E=R=E- to see a sample..
Progress: a bit over 5000 tiles =)
