Your Vid card might be able to run 32bit 1600x1200 with little or no loss of speed...it depends on how good of card you have.

There is no noticable loss of speed when I use 32bit...with higher resolutions ..I can notice some speed loss in higher end applications (like kick a$$ games) but...my vid card is less than top of the line :)
