I've just started my first game with RPG Toolkit, and I wanted to know if I could use tracked music (.IT, .XM, and .MOD files). I actually *can* use them (thanks to RPG Toolkit compatibility), but I don't know if the average joe has the stuff on his comp to hear them. (RPG Toolkit has to use windows to play un-identified media files) I am very good at making tracked music, but i don't have any acceptable midi programs. :-( Also, I have a lot of experience using VERGE (another...much harder to use game engine). VERGE's music all had to be in tacked formats, so....I don't even know my note scales for sheet music and midi....I do however know the digital scales use in tracked music :) (all that F-4 01A v4C stuff) Thats why I want to use tracked music...besides...it sounds better anyway.
Back to the point:
In your opinion, do you think that the average 'joe' has a comp set up to play tracke music ?
