The fighting bug... not sure about this one. It's never happened to me. Make sure the enemy skill is properly set on the board as well as in the main file editor. Scroll thru the enemies in the main file and make sure they all have the correct skill level.
As for the white-- this is because you are importing the enemy from a jpeg (probably). Jpegs are bad for importing because of the nature of the file format.
Also, make sure you choose a transparency color for the enemies. When you import, click on 'choose transparent color' and click on a white portion of the enemy.
